# Quickstart

By the end of this page you will create a computer and see it working.

## Prerequisites

* An API key from the [Quickstart](/quickstart)
* Node.js 20 or later, or Python 3.11 or later

### Set your API key

### Install the SDK

The SDK reads `ELIOS_API_KEY` from the environment, so the key never appears in code.
