# Conversation history

Each phone keeps its call records, messages, contacts and recordings. You can
look them up from the same phone to review a conversation or prepare for the
next one.

## Find calls and messages

List a phone's calls or find one by its ID. Filter calls by the other phone
number, direction, state or date. The record tracks when the call started,
was answered and ended.

Search message text, or filter messages by the other phone number, state,
date or whether they have attachments. Each message includes its text,
attachments and delivery state.

Results are paginated, so you can read more history as you need it. You can
also delete selected call records or messages.

## Record a call

Start recording an active call when you want to keep its audio. Choose WAV
or MP3, with both sides mixed together or kept on separate channels.

You can pause a recording, resume it or stop it. After you stop, Elios
finalizes the audio. Once the recording is ready, request a signed download
link to play it back or save the file.

Find recordings by their call, state or creation date. You can delete a
recording when you no longer need it.

## Save contacts

Create a contact on a phone with a name, description and primary number.
Add other numbers when a person has more than one. You can search contacts
by name, description or number, update their details and delete them.

Use a saved contact as the recipient of a call or message. Elios uses the
contact's primary number.
