Credits and Promotions Terms
Last updated Oct 22, 2026
These terms apply when Elios grants free credit, a promotional discount or another promotional usage benefit under the Terms of Service. The specific offer may appear at signup, in the account, on a program page or in a written offer from an authorized Elios representative. A promotion is effective only when its eligibility requirements are met and Elios confirms or applies the benefit.
#1. The offer defines the benefit
Each offer must identify its credit amount or discount, eligible account or organization, eligible usage, activation or redemption deadline if any, expiry if any, and any conditions or exclusions. For a discount, the offer must also identify its rate or calculation, applicable meters and duration. A benefit is not a cash payment, equity investment, loan or promise of continued funding.
An “up to” amount is a maximum, not an entitlement to that amount. For an individually reviewed program, an application does not guarantee acceptance or an award. The final written offer states the actual benefit. Elios will not replace a stated, awarded amount with a smaller amount merely because the public program later changes.
#2. New-account credit
Eligible new accounts receive free promotional credit at signup, in the amount shown on our pricing page and in the signup flow. The benefit is intended for one genuine new customer or organization, rather than repeated accounts created to multiply an allowance. Elios may take reasonable steps to prevent fraud or duplicate redemption. A legitimate separate business is not automatically ineligible merely because its founder has used Elios elsewhere; contact us if eligibility needs review.
The signup credit applies to eligible usage charges for the Services, unless the console or rate card identifies an item as excluded. It does not expire. Receiving or using the signup credit does not authorize paid usage.
The public signup flow must disclose any material qualification next to the offer before a user accepts it.
#3. How credit is used
Credit offsets eligible usage charges in the account to which it is granted. It cannot be transferred, resold, exchanged for cash, withdrawn or applied to another customer’s bill without Elios’s written agreement. It does not pay amounts already invoiced before activation unless the offer expressly permits this.
The rate card and any accepted discount determine the eligible charge; credit then reduces that charge. Where multiple credit balances exist, the billing system will apply promotional credit before any purchased prepaid balance and, among promotional balances, the earliest expiry first, then the earliest award. The offer must state whether its benefit combines with signup credit, another program award, a negotiated discount or another promotion. If it does not say, Elios must clarify before applying a materially different combination; silence does not authorize unexpected charges.
Remaining credit and usage information may update after processing delay. A promotional balance is not a guaranteed hard spending limit. Any hard limit must be expressly identified by the product, including its operation when usage is metered later.
#4. Expiry and exhausted credit
Credit expires only on the date or after the period disclosed for that award. We will not add an undisclosed expiry to an existing award. Unused promotional credit expires without a cash refund when the applicable stated period ends or the account is closed, subject to mandatory law.
When credit is exhausted, eligible use is charged under a paid billing arrangement you have expressly authorized. If you have not enabled paid billing, Elios may pause or restrict Services instead. Adding credit does not itself authorize paid usage, automatic top-up, a subscription or a minimum spend. Any optional automatic top-up requires separate, clear authorization specifying its trigger and amount.
You are responsible for charges outside the promotion that you have authorized, including usage above the benefit and excluded categories disclosed in the offer. If a payment method is required for particular resources, that requirement must be explained before provisioning them.
#5. Changes, errors and misuse
We may change or end a promotion for future applicants. Existing accepted offers remain in effect for their stated duration unless the offer permits a specified change, the customer no longer meets a continuing condition stated in the offer, the award resulted from a material error, or there is fraud or material breach.
If we reasonably believe a balance is incorrect or was obtained through abuse, we may temporarily restrict the disputed benefit while reviewing it. We will explain the issue where lawful and permit reasonable supporting information. We may correct a genuine error or revoke a fraudulently obtained award. We will not retroactively reprice legitimate usage already covered by a valid award solely because we end the program.
Creating sham accounts, selling promotional balances, misrepresenting eligibility or using another person’s identity to obtain benefits violates the AUP. A good-faith mistake should be reported to billing@elios.ai.
#6. Other terms
The underlying Services remain governed by the Terms, relevant product terms and any Order. These terms govern general promotional mechanics; a specific accepted offer prevails for the benefit’s amount, eligibility, term and calculation. The DPA and mandatory law retain their priority. A promotion does not change intellectual property ownership, grant marketing rights or require a testimonial unless separately and expressly agreed.
Purchased balances: The Prepaid Credit Terms and the details shown at purchase govern a paid prepaid balance. Purchased funds are recorded separately from promotional credit, and the expiry, refund and account closure rules for promotional awards do not apply to purchased funds.
