Prepaid Credit Terms

Last updated Oct 22, 2026

These terms apply when Customer purchases an advance balance of prepaid credits for eligible Elios Services. They supplement the Terms of Service. Free promotional credits are governed by the Credits and Promotions Terms and are not purchased funds.

1. Purchasing a balance

The purchase screen or accepted Order identifies the amount, currency, account receiving the balance, eligible Services, applicable taxes and any purchase restrictions. Customer authorizes the displayed payment when it affirmatively completes the purchase. A balance is available after payment is confirmed, subject to payment-provider processing and lawful fraud checks.

Purchases are made in US dollars, and payments are processed by Stripe.

A prepaid balance is an advance payment for Services. It does not reserve a particular compute configuration, number or volume, or fix the price of future usage unless an Order expressly does so. Customer does not receive interest on the balance unless applicable law requires it. Nothing here overrides legal protections or a classification imposed by law.

2. Applying the balance

Eligible metered charges are deducted under the applicable rate card, Order and Billing and Metering Policy. Customer can review the remaining purchased balance separately from promotional credits through the console where available, or by writing to billing@elios.ai.

Discounts apply to the rate first. Eligible promotional credit is then applied, in its stated order, before purchased funds, and purchased funds are applied before any payment method on file.

Balances are usable only by the account identified at purchase. Customer may use that account to operate its own applications for downstream users; this is ordinary permitted service use. Customer may not sell, transfer or exchange the balance independently of that account without Elios’s written approval. An approved business reorganization or account transfer is handled under the Terms and verified account-transfer process.

3. Expiry and account closure

Purchased balances do not expire. If Customer closes its account, Elios will reconcile charges properly incurred, refund the unused purchased balance and close the balance record, subject to mandatory law and any accepted Order that expressly establishes a different lawful arrangement. Free promotional credits are not refunded as money.

If a legal requirement applies to dormant funds or unclaimed property, Elios may handle the balance as that law requires, including required notices and remittance to the relevant authority. An inactivity policy cannot silently convert purchased funds into forfeited promotional credit.

4. Refund process

Customer may request closure and refund through Support. Customer must stop or release resources it no longer wants; ongoing authorized usage can continue to reduce the balance while the account remains active. Elios will identify any remaining chargeable resources and the effect of closing the account.

We will refund unused purchased funds to the original payment method where reasonably possible. If that method cannot receive the refund, we will agree a verified alternative permitted by law. We may require information proportionate to verifying the account owner and preventing fraud. We will not require unnecessary sensitive information.

Refunds are reduced by legitimate charges already incurred and taxes or adjustments properly associated with those charges. We will not impose an undisclosed administrative penalty or confiscate an otherwise refundable balance solely because an account was suspended. A lawful hold, unresolved payment reversal or genuine billing dispute may require reconciliation before payment; undisputed refundable amounts will be handled under the applicable agreed process and law.

5. Exhausted balance and automatic replenishment

Purchasing a balance does not authorize unlimited charges, an auto-top-up or postpaid use. The purchase or activation flow must explain whether Services are paused or restricted when available funds run out, and any separate authorization for continued paid usage.

If Customer enables automatic replenishment, the control must state the balance trigger, top-up amount, payment method and any limit. Customer can disable it at any time, including by writing to billing@elios.ai. Disabling replenishment stops future top-ups after the request takes effect; it does not reverse a completed authorized purchase or cancel already incurred service charges. An unauthorized or erroneous charge remains subject to correction and applicable legal rights.

Balances can lag usage that is in progress, so a displayed prepaid balance is not a guaranteed hard spending cap. Any charge beyond a purchased balance requires the applicable lawful authorization.

6. Payment failures, reversals and corrections

If a purchase fails, is reversed, or is refunded through a payment dispute, Elios may correct the corresponding balance and restrict additional paid usage while resolving the issue. Elios will not both retain a valid payment reversal and deduct the same amount a second time. Customer remains responsible for legitimate authorized usage not covered by a completed payment, under the Terms and applicable law.

We may investigate suspected fraud or a material balance error. We will explain the issue when lawful and provide a reasonable way to supply relevant information. Corrections must reflect the actual error and must not retrospectively alter the rate of legitimate usage.

7. Changes and priority

The Terms govern changes to service prices and this agreement. A future policy change will not impose an undisclosed expiry or remove an already agreed refund right for an existing purchased balance without the agreement and legal basis required for that change.

An accepted Order may specify a fixed service commitment, discounted prepayment or other separately negotiated purchase. It must state how unused amounts are handled, whether funds expire, and any refund or cancellation limits before acceptance. Such express terms control the identified purchase to the extent lawful. Mandatory rights and the DPA retain their applicable priority.
